The Partners
Dave and Rudy
Dave Lobb – From 1968 to 1974, Dave served an apprenticeship to George Pocock of Pocock Racing Shells in Seattle, Washington where he received his Journeyman Shipwright Certificate. Dave later went on to build fishing boats for the Alaska fishing industry at Rawson Boats in Redmond, Washington. Throughout the 80's and 90's, Dave and then partner Jack Schropp restored many of the area's classic boats and were active in the Antique and Classic Boat Society (ACBS).
Greg "Rudy" Rudloff – In 1978, Rudy earned his Journeyman Shipwright Certificate at Rawson Boats before moving on to restore several antique boats for a private collector. Rudy worked as a yard foreman for a yacht repair facility from 1980 to 1987 in Seattle, Washington. In 1987 he then went on to become First Mate on a private yacht and travelled for sevaral years.
Dave and Rudy, friends for years, decided in the year 2000 to join forces and they began thinking about moving the company to California. 2004 saw the move to Auburn, California. A much larger facility was built, keeping construction and finishing in two separate buildings. Together, Dave and Rudy make up a team with over 75 years combined classic boat experience. |
